I miss Ebony Reigns and It’s hard to accept she’s dead

Self-acclaimed Dancehall queen of Ghana, Kaakie known in real life as Grace Kaki Awo Ocansey has remembered fellow musician Ebony Reigns, known in real life as Priscilla Opoku-Kwarteng with an emotional message.

The musician who also doubles as a nurse took to her Instagram account and shared a picture of herself with the late dancehall songstress popularly known as the 90’s Badgyal Ebony Reign who won the VGMA “Artiste of the Year” .

Kaakie, in expressing her shock over the demise of the 21-year-old songstress captioned her post, “And I miss you every day @ebony_reigns… the tease… the laughter…. ur favorite emoji…aww girl.. feels like u travelled…hard to accept… Hmm

Ebony died in a gory accident on the Sunyani-Kumasi road while returning to Accra from Sunyani. Her childhood friend and PA, Franky Kuri and one air force official, Francis Atsu Vondee, who posed as a bodyguard also died in the car crash.

The final funeral rites and burial service of the late Dancehall diva Ebony Reigns were heled on March 24, 2018.

She was buried at the Osu Cemetery after the final funeral rites were held in Accra at the forecourt of the State House.
